CONCORD, N.C. — Leading senior marketing agency Walker Marketing was recently honored by the National Active Retirement Association (NARA). The agency received 12 awards for its work on behalf of The Cascades at Verdae, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Greenville, S.C. and The Cardinal at North Hills, a CCRC in Raleigh, N.C.
Among the numerous recognitions, Walker Marketing received all three best direct mail piece/overall direct mail campaign awards and several gold awards.
Additional awards included:
“Senior-related marketing is one of the cornerstones of our business,” said Gary Walker, president and CEO of Walker Marketing. “Having so many of our projects recognized is a reflection of our commitment to exceeding client expectations and delivering a truly unique product in a sea of diluted creative.”
The Cascades at Verdae is owned by Banyan Senior Living, a leading developer and manager of CCRCs in the Southeast. The Cardinal at North Hills is a project of Kane Realty Corporation and Drucker and Falk, LLC.
The annual awards recognize creative work, promotional materials and event planning for projects focused on meeting the demands of active, mature adults across the country. Each piece was reviewed and judged by a panel based on originality, design flair, creativity and ability to meet targeted objectives. The panel consisted of distinguished and experienced members of the active adult housing, homebuilding and retirement housing industry.
NARA began as a regional organization in the Carolinas (Carolinas Active Retirement Association) and grew into a national organization. It assists with education and networking for homebuilders seeking to tailor their properties to older buyers, marketers looking to appeal to older adults and cities and towns trying to appeal to retirees as part of an economic development strategy.
