When an unfunded federal mandate created the need to implement a new fee for both residents and businesses in Kannapolis, Walker Marketing designed a direct mail piece to explain the new program. One of the concerns of Kannapolis City officials was making sure each person impacted by the fee understood fully the purpose. To remedy this concern, Walker Marketing created the direct mail piece above—which mimics a storm grate—to make sure those affected not only received correct information about the program but were also enticed to read it.
