Mike Carroll and I recently shot on location at Windshear, Inc., the nation's only full-size rolling road wind tunnel located in Concord, NC. One shot required Mike to position his camera directly above an open-wheel racer within the tunnel.
Although we've shot together for years, I never knew he was afraid of heights until after he descended from the lift truck. Despite his phobia, Mike maintained professionalism and his sense of humor.
Be sure to check out some of Mike's outstanding work for Windshear, Inc. featured in our Gallery section.
As gas prices climb ever higher, it's easy to understand why the cheapest grade is rising in popularity. In an apparent attempt to encourage sales of higher priced fuel, one gas station I visit has a cleaver graphic design solution.

This all-black pump has two higher-grade options brightly colored while leaving the regular-grade option black. Is it possible that the pump is designed to take advantage of our hurried culture by assuming we won't notice the camouflaged regular unleaded option?
